The district needs to make at least $11.5 million in cuts next year, but officials say a significant "reimagining" of the district is necessary to sustain the district in the long run.

The staff and students of the Laney Cosmetology Program would like to welcome all new and returning students to the Spring 2016 semester.
Come in to the Laney College Salon, located in room B-100, for a complimentary (free!) polish change, between 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 1 thru Friday, Feb. 5.
Regular services resume Feb. 10. The salon regularly features hairstyling, coloring, chemical treatments, facial treatments, manicures and pedicures all done by students. 
Discounts for students, staff, disabled and seniors. 
No appointment needed.
