Jaya Palmer grew up in Seattle, Washington and has been passionate about sustainable agriculture, permaculture, and cannabis production for many years. He moved to Oakland, CA two years ago to go back to college and pursue a counseling psychology degree. Keeping up with current events has been a bit of an obsession during 2020 and getting into the ethics and potential of journalism is something he is excited to dig into during his time at Laney College.
