Rym-Maya Kherbache, who goes by Maya, has had a passion for journalism since high school – although current events don’t draw her like soccer does. Maya prizes connecting to a larger community through writing, which has been euphoric for her as long as she can remember. With a love for journaling, poetry, travel and languages, Maya believes life should be experienced through the lens of “Dolce Far Niente” – the italian phrase for the “sweetness of doing nothing” – taking it slow, reading a book, drinking a coffee at sunset, making phone calls that distract the soul from waking life. Hailing from the Mediterranean, Maya believes in rejoicing in the simplicity of life, family, and friends.
