Nelzy Gonzalez-Zaragoza, Associate Editor

Nelzy Gonzalez is an Oakland native and journalist for The Citizen. She graduated from UC Berkeley in 2021. After years of working as a media communication specialist at her alma mater, she is a returning student at PCCD to pursue her interest in journalism. She hopes to tailor her research and writing skills to work with The Citizen. She works closely with Girls Inc. of Alameda County to help build the next generation of strong, smart, and bold leaders.
