Scholarship funds await takers Peralta Foundation alerts instructors

Students have not received any emails from Peralta about Peralta Colleges Foundation Scholarships, as a result the number of students applying is about 20 percent lower than expected.
As you know, so many of our students are in great need and if they do not know about our scholarships they may be missing out on very much needed funds to continue their education.
Last semester I know of one student who was homeless at the time of receiving his scholarship, which allowed him to change that situation, and another student who told us that the scholarship she received is the only thing that kept her from becoming homeless.
The need is real. We need your help to get the word out to all the students you come in contact with. The process is easy, have your students go to www.peraltafoundation.org and click the red Apply Now button. If they have any questions, I am available by phone or email. The deadline to apply is this Monday, Oct. 13.
