Peralta Colleges website gets staff photos

Administration trying to put a ‘human face on a name’ for their teachers

Starting this semester The Peralta Colleges website will feature actual human photos of its staff, faculty and administrators as a new idea for “putting a face on a name.” according to Jeff Heyman, executive director of public information, as initiated by Chancellor Jowel Laguerre’s office.
This project started July 1st of this year and is ongoing. Student identification cards already have their pictures for each person enrolled at the Peralta Colleges.
Laney College was built in the 1970’s and is considered the oldest and largest campus of the Peralta College system.
The photo directory is the first of its kind in the Peralta College’s history. Chancellor Lagurre also has C-Direct: a weekly update on his webpage.
For more information on the new Laney College Photo Directory contact Jeff Heyman at (510)466–7369 and stay tuned to the website: peralta.edu
