Upcoming repairs on the Laney campus

    By Michelle Sider

Director of Facilities and College Operations Amy Marshall has emailed updates on Laney campus repairs.

Room F150 and the Laney Theatre have broken windows. “Bids are in the works to get all broken windows fixed on campus. Plans for completion is end of December.” Marshall said.

“The Student Center door repair bid is going out this month. The Student Center doors, theater front doors and a few other doors on campus will be repaired or replaced as needed. In the event of an emergency there are several doors available for exit.”

“Repairs for the Laney library elevator were approved at the last Peralta board meeting. Once started, the project is expected to take 17 weeks to complete. Temporary solutions for those who need help are prepared by staff to retrieve books and resources from other floors. Those needing access to the lower level can make arrangements to enter through door L115.”
