Laney College will host its annual Transfer Day on Oct. 9, from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the Laney Quad, located in front of the student center.

Representatives from over 30 universities, including California State University, East Bay and University of California, Berkeley, will be present. Students will have the opportunity to have one-on-one conversations with university reps to help decide what school will help them achieve their career goal.

The event will be open to all students in the Peralta Community College District. No sign-up is required.

“What is extraordinary is the number of colleges that come to Laney to meet our students,” Laney College President Rudy Besikof said in an email. “To have more than 30 colleges on our campus on one day from around California and the U.S. is extraordinary and testament to those who have planned it.”

The transfer day event was made possible with the help of Laney’s General Counseling Department Co-Chair, Cynthia Taing, and Program Specialist, Laura Ramos.

Information about future Laney College events can be found on the college’s events page.
