Letters to the Editor — Drought drama

Editor — One thing that should concern us all, is the drought that has been going on for years in our state.
California is not the only state facing a drought in the nation. Water is needed for the human race. The human race is not the only one that relies on water.
We are one of the seven states killing the Colorado River basin. This basin provides water to farmers that grow the fruits and vegetables that we eat today.
In addition, farmers need to provide livestock with food and water. The food that the livestock consume has to be grown with water.
It would need to rain for years in order for us to get the amount of water we had before. The price for water may increase.
Water is one of the biggest sources we need and without out it our nation could change forever.
We need to focus on this topic and let the public now what is going on and the effects this drought would give us.

    About the Contributor
In the fall of 2019, The Laney Tower rebranded as The Citizen and launched a new website. These stories were ported over from the old Laney Tower website, but byline metadata was lost in the port. However, many of these stories credit the authors in the text of the story. Some articles may also suffer from formatting issues. Future archival efforts may fix these issues.
